Goldie Lucille Tomlin Jeffries, age 87, of Fayetteville, died on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Hilltop Nursing Center.
Born October 20, 1927 in Pax, WV, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Goldie Woolwine Tomlin.
Goldie was married to William (Pops) E. Jeffries who preceded in death in 1992. She was also preceded in death by siblings Helen Marshall, Bill Tomlin, Leonard Tomlin, Dennis Tomlin and children William E. Jeffries, Jr., John A. Jeffries and Dennis L. Jeffries.
Goldie Lucille was a homemaker and very dedicated wife and mother. She loved her children
more than herself. Her hobby of crocheting was used to the benefit of many a baby and married couple. She was a member of the Oak Hill Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 30 years and never saw a stranger. She was known for her hospitality and her smile.
Survivors include her children, Gary Jeffries and wife, Kay of Fayetteville, Rick Jeffries and wife, Luann of Oak Hill, Tina Moore and husband, Mike of Fayetteville and Dwayne Jeffries and companion, Bridgette White of Lumberport; sister, Glenna Rudd of Goose Creek, SC; brothers, Charles Tomlin of Covina, CA and Robert Tomlin of Gravette, Ark.; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Thomas McClung officiating. She will be laid to rest at Huse Memorial Park in Fayetteville with Sam Lambert officiating a graveside committal service.
Friends may call at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, one hour prior to services on Wednesday, July 15, 2015.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
