Gloria Aranda Lopez

Gloria Rose Aranda Lopez, 70, of Whipple, WV died on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at her home. Born April 13, 1935 at Carlisle, WV, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Rose and Cora E. Quick Aranda. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Augustine "Sam" Lopez, Jr.; two brothers, Eugene and Richard Aranda; one sister, Joyce Lopez. Survivors include her daughter, Judy Lopez of Oak Hill; two sons, Vincent Lopez and wife, Verna of Palm Coast, FL and Jessie "Wayne" Lopez and wife Donna of Scarbro; one sister, Janet Pencotty and husband, Bill of Oak Hill; two brothers, Victor Aranda and wife, Christine of Middleburg, OH and Theodore "Ted" Aranda of Oak Hill; 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild. A special thanks to friends and family members who assisted with transportation to the doctors visits in Charleston. Funeral will be 2:00 PM Friday at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with Rev. Paul Basham officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
