Glenn Rudd

April 10, 1935 — April 13, 2004

Perry Glenn Rudd, 69, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at his home. Born April 10, 1935 at Borger, TX he was the son of the late Elton Rudd and Flo Millsap Rudd Ragland. Mr. Rudd was a retired T/SGT for US Air Force with 20 years service and was a retired minister and pastor of the Assemblies of God. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Beckley and also a former member of the Working Cowboys Association of America. He was preceded in death by his sister, Faye Dutton. Survivors include wife, Nada Jeffers Rudd; daughter and son-in-law, Lola Faye and Richard C. Hight of Beckley; three grandchildren, Samantha, Mackenzie and Chase Hight of Beckley; brother, Thomas E. Rudd of Voctor, Montana and by a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Jones Avenue First Church of God, Oak Hill on Friday, April 16, 2004, from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm Services will be on Friday, April 16, 2004, at 1:00 pm at Jones Avenue First Church of God in Oak Hill. with Rev. Tommy Basham, Rev. Ralph Shupe and Rev. Tonya Shupe officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park., Oak Hill WV with military graveside service by VFW Post #3110, Oak Hill. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia, PO Box 1472, Beckley, WV 25802.
