Glen F. Ellison, 94, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born December 09, 1912 at Winona, WV he was the son of the late James F. and Grace Ash Ellison. He was a retired roofer. Mr. Ellison was a World War II US Army veteran. He was a Staff Sgt. in the 1041st Infantry, 36th Division - "Texas T" - Antitank Company. He fought in 411 continuous days of combat and was awarded two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Marie Weeks Ellison and three brothers, Ray, Roy and Billy Ellison. Survivors include two sons, David Ellison and companion, Dottie and Glen F. "Buddy" Ellison and wife, Lavada all of Oak Hill, WV; 2 daugthers, Sandra Jean Wilson and husband, Roland of Puyallup, Washington and Peggy Maddy and husband, Delane of Oak Hill, WV; one brother, Charles Ellison of Elko, Nevada; two sisters, Evelyn Fuller of Teays Valley, WV and Sonia Aide of Summersville, WV; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, April 20, 2007 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Services will be on Friday, April 20, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Rudell Bloomfield officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill WV.
