Gladys Wilkerson

Gladys Lee Wilkerson, 81, of Rt. 1, Mount Hope, died on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley. Born December 18, 1926 at New Hall, WV, she was a daughter of the late Bryant and Maggie Ford Wooldridge. Mrs. Wilkerson was a homemaker and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church at Price Hill. Surviving are two sons, Eugene Carl Wilkerson and his wife, Joyce, Beckley and Gary Lee Wilkerson and his wife, Jenny, Hilltop; two brothers, Bryant Wooldridge, Jr. of Manassas, VA and Johnny Wooldridge of Bradley; two sisters, Marie Lilly, Rt. 1, Mount Hope and Patricia Lovelace, Manassas, VA; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 11, at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Mount Hope with Speaker Joe Criss officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 Noon until the time of the service on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Lilly, Mark Richardson, Billy Bower, Sean Wilkerson, Bryan and J. H. Wooldridge.
