Our mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Gladys Irene Kees Nichols, 75, of Oak Hill, WV died on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at her home Born December 15, 1932 at Collinsdale, WV she was the daughter of the late Homer Douglas and Leva Mae Marcum Kees. Mrs. Nichols attended the Oak Hill Christian Church at Summerlee and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lee Nichols and a great grandson, Garrett Andrew Treadway. Survivors include one daughter, Tammie Lynn Treadway and husband, Larry, Sr. of Oak Hill; four brothers, Bannan Kees of Collinsdale, Robert Kees of Columbus, OH, John Kees of Winchester, VA and William Kees of Fayetteville and four sisters, Vada Craig of Smithers, Ethel Lucas and Nola Clements both of Collinsdale and Kathleen Lively of Oak Hill. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Joseph Lee Treadway and wife, Andrea of Oak Hill and Larry Wayne Treadway, Jr. and wife, Stephanie of Fayetteville; five great grandchildren, Maddison Renee Treadway, Trevor Lee Treadway, Hallie Lynn Treadway, Isaiah James Treadway and Grace Lyn Kay Treadway and special grandson, Joel Fernett. Services will be on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Scott Hamilton officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia, PO Box 1472, Beckley WV 25802.
