Gladys Chandler Davis

Gladys Lee Chandler Davis, 87, of Maple Fork, WV, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at her home. Born August 25, 1924 at Mount Hope, WV, she was a daughter of the late Allen and Vella Lawson Chandler. Gladys retired after 37 years of service from the Federal Government. She was an audit supervisor and executive secretary. She was a member of the Long Branch Methodist Church and the Bradley Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Haven Price Davis on November 4, 2005. Survivors include her son, Haven P. Davis II and his wife, Barbara of Maple Fork; her daughter, JoAdail Stephenson and her husband, Gregg of Colonial Heights, VA; two grandchildren, Sonja Williford of Adelphia, GA and Shane Davis of Hinton, Alberta, Canada; five great grandchildren, Colton Davis, Emma Davis, Marshall Davis, Isabella Davis and Keegan Williford, and two sisters, Jean Polk of Toledo, Ohio and Mary Lou Fowler of Spartanburg, SC. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Pastor Harmon Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.
