Gilbert Ray “Doodle” Wriston, Sr., age 76 of Kincaid, WV passed away on Saturday May 16, 2009 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV Born March 11, 1933 at Beards Fork, WV, he was the son of the late Samuel and Nancy Margaret Tincher Wriston. Doodle was a coal miner having retired from US Steel at Winfrede and was a member of the Hill Top Family Worship Center. He was a veteran having served with the US Army and was preceded in death by a son, Gilbert Ray Wriston, Jr. Surviving are : His wife : Darlis J. Harper Craigo Wriston of Kincaid Two son and 6 daughters : Dimple Hanes and husband Jack of Ohio Debra Johnston and husband Wilburn of Kincaid Steve Wriston and wife Sherry of Pinnacle, NC Jerry Wriston and wife Michelle of Greenville, PA Nancy Johnston and husband Kenny of Kincaid Rita Craigo and husband James of Pinnacle, NC Kimberly Stover and husband Michael of Robson Rebecca Hall and husband Greg of Siloam, NC Step Children : Charlotte Geno and husband Buford of Summersville, Carolyn Holcomb of Cedar Grove, Ramona Johnston of Robson, Betty Moore of Witcher Creek and Jerry Craigo of Elkhart, IN 40 Grandchildren and 34 Great Grandchildren Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Terry Dameron officiating. Burial will follow in the Payne Cemetery at Johnson’s Branch.
