Gertrude I. Grubb

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Gertrude I. Coffman Grubb, 84, of Oak Hill, WV went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 24, 2004, at Christiana, DE. She was the daughter of the late Arno Coffman and Elizabeth Moran Coffman Webb and stepdaughter of the late Nelson Ezra Webb. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Dennis and Bill Coffman and Charles, Buke and Jim Webb and sister, Mildred Coffman. Another sister, Erma Ross died only 12 days later. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Tom Broomall, Myra and Bob Haddock, Sherry and Eddie Lewis and Cherlann Grubb and Javier Ortega. She is also survived by three sisters, Clyda Ross of Baltimore, MD, Jane Taylor of Oak Hill and Margaret Coffman of Oak Hill; ten (10) grandchildren and 10 great grandchldren. Gertrude thought of others in death as she had in life. At her request her body was donated to the WVU Medical School, Morgantown, WV. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2005 at the Minden Baptist Church, Minden, WV. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 100 W. 10th Street, Suite 206, Wilmington, DE 19801 or to the local Arthritis Foundation.
