Gertrude Colbaugh Bailey

Gertrude Mae “Gertie” Colbaugh Bailey, 92, of Oak Hill, WV passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Bower's Hospice House in Beckley.
Born December 15, 1923 in Concho, WV she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Grace Hamilton Colbaugh.
Gertie was a loyal and faithful member of the Jones Avenue First Church of God and was a retired employee from Sears.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Bailey; brothers, Earl and Lloyd Colbaugh; and sister, Hazel Lively.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving daughter, Karen Blackmon of Swansboro, NC; three nieces, Betty Purvis, Linda Colbaugh, and Judy Colbaugh; and one nephew, Richard Lively.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Rev. Patricia Franklin officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
Friends from the church will serve as pallbearers.
