Gerald L. "Jerry" Scott

Gerald Lee “Jerry” Scott, 69, of Ravenswood, WV formerly of Oak Hill, WV died Saturday, April 27, 2008, at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston. He was born September 2, 1938, at Oak Hill, a son of Mary Mae Hambrick Scott of Oak Hill and the late Frank Scott. Jerry was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Ravenswood. He retired from Century Aluminum, Ravenswood. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a 1956 graduate of Collins High School, Oak Hill. His wife, JoAnn Krisko Scott preceded him in death. In addition to his mother, he was survived by a son, David Scott and wife, Georganne of Rising Sun, MD; daughter, Dora Ann Bias and husband, Steve of Charleston; two sisters, Doris Stokey of Knoxville, Tenn., and Frankie Mae Sokoff of San Jose, Calif. and three grandchildren, Samuel Scott, April Scott, and Matthew Bias. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Ravenswood with Father John Finnell officiating. Burial will be in Ravenswood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood.
