Gerald David Bragg, Sr.

Gerald David Bragg, Sr., age 73, of Scarbro, WV passed away on Friday, February 22, 2013 at his residence. Born September 21, 1939 at Wriston, WV, he was the son of the late Edward and Nora Woolwine Bragg. Gerald was a retired coal miner having work for Maple Meadow Mining as a miner operator and was a member of the UMWA. He was also a licensed electrician and served his country with the US Army. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Jenkins and by a brother, Luther Bragg. Surviving are his wife, Brenda Carol Dilley Bragg of Scarbro, his daughter, Lisa Smith and her husband Ralph of Scarbro and by his son, Gerald David Bragg, Jr. of Charleston, WV., by his seven brothers and sisters, Edward Bragg and Fred Bragg, both of Fayetteville, WV, Nancy Bragg, Sandy Bragg King, Timothy Bragg, Linda Phillips and Kathy Treadway, all of Wriston, WV. Also surviving are his four grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 PM, Monday, February 25, 2013 at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with the Rev. Lee Dunbar officiating. In honoring Gerald's wishes, he will be cremated following services. Friends may call the the funeral home from 6-8 PM on Monday, February 25, 2013.
