Georgia Rhodes Fisher

Georgia Gay Rhodes Fisher , 80, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.

Born June 19, 1934 at Summerlee, WV she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Minnie Cody Rhodes.

Georgia was a devoted wife and mother and a homemaker. She was a member of the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene, TOPS Club and a quilting club at Glen Jean.

Her husband, Dave Fisher; son, Robert Allen Fisher; sisters, Genevieve McMillion, Lorene Lekan, Estelle Matulis, Virginia O'Boyle and Josephine Rhodes; and a brother, Ernest "Buzzy" Rhodes preceded her in death.

Survivors include sons, Michael Fisher of Scarbro, Jeffrey Fisher of Ashland City, TN, and Dave Fisher of Oak Hill; daughters, Deanna Shepherd of Oak Hill, Linda Gibson of Columbus, OH, Cheryl Bogle of Scarbro and Donna Bailey of Nashville, TN; three sisters, Edna Criss of Oak Hill, Norma Menei of Mount Hope and Irene Elkins of Elyria, OH; seventeen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Dr. Randy L. James officiating Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill.

Visitation will be at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Saturday from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
