George E. Tyree

George Edward Tyree, 67, of Cirtsville, WV died on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born February 15, 1938 at Willis Branch, WV he was the son of the late Clarkson "Clark" Omer and Bernice Kelly Tyree. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. George attended Pax High School and was a US Army veteran. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Clark Tyree, Joe Douglas Tyree, and Frank Tyree and an infant sister. Survivors include one sister, Bessie Shumate Waine and husband, Charles, of Beckley; one brother, Mack Tyree of Eagle Lake, FL; three sisters-in-law, Ruby Tyree of Parkersburg, Betty Tyree of Smithers and Ann Tyree of Charlton, Mass; and by several nieces and nephews Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Thursday, March 17, 2005, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Services will be on Friday, March 18, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. Harmon Davis officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity WV. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
