George Frederick Smith, Sr.

George Frederick Smith, Sr. , 80, of Ona, WV formerly of Mount Hope, WV died on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at at home in Ona, WV. Born March 06, 1932 at Quinnimont, WV he was the son of the late Charles F. and Ruth M. Bivens Smith. He was retired from the C&O Railroad. Two grandchildren, Amy Vealey and Jason Smith preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Jane Boyd Smith, five sons and three daughters, George F. Smith, Jr., Thomas M.Smith, Anna L. Vealey, Michael A. Smith, C. Richard Smith, C. Wayne Smith, Nancy Pat Smith and Kelly S. Freeman as well as twenty four grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren. Committal services will be on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Oak Hill with Minister Dennis Kinzer officiating. Entombment will follow.
