George Herman Ruth

George Herman Ruth , 81, of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, January 03, 2013 at his home. Born May 08, 1931 at Killarney, WV he was the son of the late James Arthur and Ida Googe Ruth. Mr. Ruth was a US Navy veteran with 20 years service and the rank of Chief Boatsman's Mate. He was also retired from the US Postal Service. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church, Fayetteville. Survivors include wife, Sandra "Sandy" Gail Cleary Ruth, two sons, Robert George Ruth of West Milford and David Andrew Ruth of Oak Hill, sister, Shirley Bullington of Oceana and two grandchildren, Kristen Ruth and Kammie Ruth. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grace Baptist Church in Fayetteville with Rev. Delbert Walker officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Men of the church will serve as pallbearers.
