George E. Ruff, Sr.

George E. Ruff, Sr. , 59, of Oak Hill, WV died on Monday, February 02, 2009 at his home. Born February 17, 1949 at Oswald, WV he was the son of the late George A. and Louise O'Neal Ruff. He was a Field Technician for Triad Engineering in St. Albans. George was a graduate of Mount Hope High School. A son, George Earl Ruff, Jr. preceded him in death on August 14, 2002. Three brothers, Sam, Ronald and Robert Ruff also preceded him. Survivors include wife of 38 years, Lena Fay Williams Ruff; son, Albert Preston Ruff and wife, Carolyn of Oak Hill; adopted daughter, Lisa Chittum of Oak Hill; brother, Eric Ruff of Oak Hill; sisters, Evelyn Foster and husband Carmet of Mount Hope and Jean Adkins and husband, Tracy of Packs Branch; two grandchildren, Robert Ruff and Cody Ruff both of Florida and step granddaughter, Brianna Jeffris of Oak Hill. Also surviving are special friends, Donna and Amber Reardon, Mary Williams, Eddie O'Neal, Joby Hope and the employees of Triad and a very special sister-in-law, Christina Garrison. A memorial service will be on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Pax Worship Center at Pax with Rev. Dwayne Williams officiating.
