George Jennings Moreau

George Jennings Moreau, 91, of Oak Hill died Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV following a short illness.

Born April 2, 1922 in Fayetteville, WV, he was the son of the late George Moreau and Angie Bowyer Moreau Jackson.

He was a retired Oak Hill business owner and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Maxine Brackman Moreau of Oak Hill, one son, Wayne Moreau and wife Linda of Oak Hill, one grandson, Matthew Moreau and wife Lisa of Rolesville, NC, two great-grandchildren, Megan and Morgan Moreau, both of Rolesville, NC, one brother, Joe Moreau and wife Ann of Beckley, four sisters, Mary Beard and husband Malcolm of Tampa, FL, Betty Haskell and husband D.D. Of Dayton, OH, Susan Noble of Knoxville, TN and Jean Milo Stewart of FL. He was preceded in death by one sister Margaret Hitchcock.

Committal services will be conducted 1:00 P. M. Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill, WV with Pastor Mike Kees officiating. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
