George David Lambert

George David Lambert, 72, of Mullens, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family as he entered the gates to Heaven where he received his healing. 

Born September 10, 1952 at Mullens, he was the son of the late Vernon and Freda Lambert. 

He was preceded in death by his father and best friend, Vernon Lambert and his loving mother, Freda Lambert; and one grandson, Lil' Don.

George (Boomer) was a lifelong coalminer where he enjoyed traveling the world teaching others to mine coal the West Virginia way. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed watching sports and yelling at the WVU games. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, the love of his life for 49 years, Donna Lambert; two very devoted daughters, Heather Ramsey of Mullens and Bessie Brown of Beckley' two grandsons who were the joy of his life, Kayden and Kyler Quesenberry both of Beckley; two sisters, Sandra Kyer-Cosner and her husband, Leon of Alabama and Belinda Barker and her husband, Mark of Alabama; two brothers, Vernon (Cokey) Lambert, II and his wife, Susan of Alabama and Alan Lambert and his wife, Judy of West Virginia; sister-in-law, Frances Austin and her husband, Keith of West Virginia; and a host of nieces and nephews, especially Adam Barker of Alabama. 

A memorial service will be 12 Noon, Friday, January 31, 2025 at the Otsego Bible Chapel with Pastor Mike Sparkman officiating. Inurnment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. 

Friends may call one hour prior to services Friday at the church. 

Pallbearers will be Adam Barker and Jeff Lambert.
