George Edwin Gwinn

George Edwin Gwinn, 64, of Red Star, WV died at his home on Thursday, November 28, 2013. Born September 23, 1949 at Red Star, WV, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Charlotte Bell Gwinn. George was a drywall contractor. He was a member of the Carlisle Church of God and the Mount Hope Lions Club. He was a 1968 graduate of Mount Hope High School. He was preceded in death by sisters, Louise Bell, Patricia Bowen, and Susie Sarver; one brother, Lawrence Gwinn. Survivors include one daughter, Denise Crookshanks of Princeton, WV; one son, Adam Gwinn of Lewisburg, WV; four grandchildren, Ethan, Raelyn, Mason and Brayden; one brother, Gary Gwinn and his wife, Sharon of Kilsyth, WV; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A. M. Monday, December 2, 2013 at 11:00 A. M. at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Hope with Rev. Richard Allen officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call Sunday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
