Gay Melissa Dew Dillon Boyle , 93, of Beckley, WV died on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Greystone Village in Daniels, WV.
Born May 14, 1923 at Maynor, WV she was the daughter of the late Lee and Pearl Davis Dew.
Gay was a retired teacher from Crescent Elementary School. She later worked as adjunct professor, supervising student teachers for Concord University.
She was a member of the United Methodist Temple in Beckley; Beta Sigma Phi Sorority; NEA; and Women of the Moose..
Preceding her in death were her husband, William John Boyle in 2011; sister, Dorothy Stover; and brothers, Robert Dew and Neil Dew.
Surviving are her daughter, Helen Barto and husband, Donald, of Annapolis, MD; stepdaughters, Susan Fisher of Wayne, PA and Stephanie Peters and husband, Merrit of Philadelphia, PA; and two nephews, Udy Stover of Ohio and George Dew of Georgia.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at United Methodist Temple in Beckley with Pastor Randy Adkins officiating. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum, Beckley. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the United Methodist Temple, 201 Templeview Drive, Beckley WV 25801
