Gary Allen Sharp, Sr.

Gary Allen Sharp Sr., 62, of Minden, WV went to fly with the angels on Sunday, April 08, 2012. He passed away at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV from burns received in an accidental fire at his home. Born June 24, 1949 at Charleston, WV he was the son of Jean D. Vanover Sharp of Oak Hill, WV and the late Allen Ray Sharp. He is flying now with his father, twin sister, Gail Sharen Sharp, grandparents, William and Pearl Potter Terchek and his best friend, Matt Jones. Gary was a US Marine Corps Vietnam veteran . He had worked as a machinist in California. He loved the outdoors, riding his Harley, was a member of the Chubs Brothers Harley Club and was an avid NASCAR fan. In addition to his mother, Gary is survived by his loving wife, Angela Sears Sharp, son, Gary Allen Sharp, Jr. and wife, Robbin, daughter, A. Juanita Jones, brothers, Darrell Sharp, Bill Sharp, and Michael Sharp and sisters, Annetta Sharp and Pearl Baxter. Also surviving are grandchildren, Gary Allen "Tre" Sharp, III, C. Matthew Dalton Jones, William Wyatt Sharp, and A. Miranda Danielle Jones as well as numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and friends. Mr. Sharp was cremated. A memorial service will be on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Sharp residence in Minden.
