Gary Cecil Maynor, 52, of Pax, WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born March 24, 1956 at Oak Hill, WV he was the son of the late Ross Edward and Della Jane Williams Maynor. Gary was a disabled coal miner having been employed at Eccles #5, Bonnie Mines and Nicholas Mining. He was a member of the Packs Branch Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter, loved to ginseng with his buddies and be in the outdoors. He enjoyed working in his garage, collecting antiques and helping others. A brother, Alfin Carl Maynor preceded him in death. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 29 years, Alice Stover Maynor and a daughter, Jessica Covey and husband, Jeremy of Pax. Also surviving are sisters, Ethel P. Flint and Gloria J. Crew and husband, Willis all of Beckley; Margaret L. Wines of Pax, Mabel A. Williams and husband, Dennis of Clear Creek and Flora Belle Wines and husband, Herman of Pax; sister-in-law, Glenda Treadway of Pax and brothers, Raymond Maynor of Mossy and Sanford Maynor and wife, Mary of Dry Hill Road. Also left to cherish his memory are his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Stover; sisters-in-law, Vicky Huber, Helen Murdock, Kim Dillon, Kelly Peak and Jennifer Nelson and brothers-in-law, Bobby Stover, Ernie Stover, Curtis Stover and Richard Stover as well as aunts, uncles and many nieces and nephews. Services will be on Friday January 30, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Packs Branch Baptist Church with Evangelist Dale Vance officiating. Burial will be at Argabright-Williams Cemetery in Packs Branch. Visitation will be held at Packs Branch Baptist Church on Thursday, January 29, 2009 after 6:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Bobby Stover, Curtis Stover, Ernie Stover, Jimmy Dillon, Ray Horrocks and Max Tyree.
