Gary Winton Ewing

Gary Winton Ewing, age 77, of Pax, WV, passed away suddenly on April 21, 2023. Born October 17, 1945, in Fayette County, WV, he was the son of the late Ferdie and Sarah Deal Ewing. Gary served in the U.S. Airforce after his time in the Air Force he became a Coal Miner. He was a member of the Pax Worship Center and loved being outdoors and spending time with his family. He was on the Pax Town Council and was a previous Mayor of Pax, West Virginia. He is going to be deeply missed by wife, Shirley Ewing, children; Gary F. Ewing, Lisa Ewing Doyle (Jim), and Libby Hurlocker (Ritchie), grandchildren, Kala Williams and McKenzie Ewing, great grandchildren; Jeremiah Williams, Gabriel Williams, and Kai Ewing, siblings; Darrell Ewing, Shelby Norkevitz, Shirley Roberts, Jo Etta Statler, and Brenda Jones, special friends; Becky and Tom Wood, as well as many other friends and family. Per his request there are to be no services at this time and he will be cremated. The family will be planning a Celebration of Life at a later date.
