Reverend Garnet Leona Ellison Bonifacio, affectionately known as "Bonnie", of Mount Hope, WV died on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Hilltop Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hilltop, WV.
Born June 15, 1926 at Dothan, WV she was the daughter of the late Garnet T. and Myrtle Ethel Toney Ellison.
Bonnie enjoyed growing a variety of plants and flowers. Her passion was dedicating her life to preaching and ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ for over 45 years. She was the former pastor of the Glen Jean Community Church.
Her husband, Julius Bonifacio; son Michael Bonifacio; brothers, Frank Ellison and Stanley Ellison; and granddaughter, Lori Weeks preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, Sam (Betty) Bonifacio of Jacksonville, FL, Thomas (Terry) Bonifacio of Clermont, FL and Richard (Teresa) Bonifacio of Scarbro; daughter-in-law, Drema Bonifacio of Bradley; grandchildren, Sue A. Bonifacio, Jennifer Simms, Michael Bonifacio, Melissa Bonifacio Smith, Julio Bonifacio, Chris Bonifacio, Jackie Bonifacio, Rick Bonifacio, Dusty Lembrick, Jason Weeks and Angela Weeks; fourteen great grandchildren; sister, Linda Kessler of Baltimore, MD; nieces, Karen and Laura; and sisters-in-law, Vada Ellison and Phyllis Bonifacio
Services will be on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Rev. Rudell Bloomfield officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call from 11:00 am until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
