Freda Bell Royal Nickell, 89, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born July 8, 1933 in Wilkesboro, NC she was the daughter of the late Welsie and Dela Privets Royal.
Freda was a loyal and faithful member of the Mt. View Church of God and her greatest joy in life was being surrounded by her family whom she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Freddy Nickell; 2 brothers, Richard Royal and Elzie Royal; and 1 sister, Arbutus Canterbury
Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include son, Danny Nickell (Nancy); daughter, Denise Shrewsbury (Bob); 2 grandchildren, Zachary Shrewsbury and Steven Nickell; 1 great grandson, Liam Shrewsbury; and 1 brother, Clifford Royal.
Funeral service will be 12:00 PM Noon Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Kenny Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Huse Memorial Park in Fayetteville, WV.
Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at the funeral in Oak Hill.
