Franklin Legg

Franklin D. Legg, 68, of Rt. 1, Fayetteville, WV died on Friday, August 14, 2009 at his home. Born October 21, 1940 at Minden, WV, he was the son of the late Roy Dewey and Ethel Lena Webster Legg. He was a disabled self-employed contractor. He was of the Christian faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Margie E. Adkins and Betty Ann Legg. Survivors include his son, Michael Legg of Cunard; grandchild, Halley McGuire; brother, Thomas Legg, Rt. 1, Fayetteville; sisters, Genevieve Peters, Pekin, Ill.; Sherry O'Dell Thomas and Janet Miller, both of Oak Hill; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Dennis, Connie, Brent, and Pastor Bruce Johnson. Funeral services will be Monday, August 17, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill. Burial will follow at Woods Avenue-Plateau Historical Cemetery, Oak Hill.
