Frank Matthew Tucker, age 88, of Mount Hope, WV passed away peacefully on July 16th, 2021.
Born April 13th, 1933 in Beckley, WV, he was the son of the late Gilman Emory and Agnes Helen Patrick Tucker.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by wife of 55 years Patricia Carole Perdue Tucker (7/2/2018).
Frank was a veteran serving in the US Air Force, US Army and National Guard being involved in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
He worked as a brick mason after his time in the service, retiring from that, after which he worked for Kroger until his final retirement when he was 80 years old. He loved the outdoors and working in his garden but most importantly he was a devoted member of the Mount Hope community, helping on various community projects including the construction of facilities at the football and soccer field. He was a member of the Kilsyth Freewill Baptist Church.
Frank is survived by his children; Kim Tucker (Robbie Dickens) and Gregory Tucker (Teresa). His memory will be cherished by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation and military honors will be held on Tuesday July 20th, 2021 from 6:00 – 7:00PM at Tyree Funeral Home, Mt. Hope. Frank will then be cremated and later entombed at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity.
