Frank P. Shumate

Frank P. Shumate, 73, of Oak Hill, WV died on Friday, March 04, 2005 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born February 03, 1932 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Clyde E. and Lottie Ellen Deck Shumate. He was the retired owner of Rosemont Floral, Oak Hill, WV. Frank was a member of the Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church, Oak Hill, WV, was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Beckley and attended West Virginia University. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John W., Herbert E., Virgil D. and Edward Shumate; sisters, Ella Johnston, Janet Green and Hila Elizabeth Stover. Frank is survived by his nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 7, at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Father Stan Holmes officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday evening, March 6, at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Oak Hill or the charity of your choice.
