Geneva "Frances" Austin Tufts, 86, of Rt 1 Fayetteville, WV died on Wednesday, December 07, 2005 at Hidden Valley Healthcare Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born March 03, 1919 at Rush, KY she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lorraine Burdette Austin. She was a retired clerk for The Modern and also formerly employed at Woods Drug Store and Wiseman Drug. Mrs. Tufts was a member of the Kaymoor Community Church where she was church pianist for many years and a member of the ladies circle. She was an avid crafts person who enjoyed sewing and painting. The family would like to express a special thanks to the caregivers at Mary's Garden and Hidden Valley of Oak Hill, WV. Her husband, Rev .Raymond C. Tufts, six brothers, Sam Austin, Jr., James V. Austin, Frank Austin, Billy Ray Austin, George E. Austin and David H. Austin and three sisters, Myrle Bates, Mozelle DeLonzo and Peggy Stewart preceded her in death. Survivors include son, Donald (Karen) Tufts of Fostoria, OH; daughters, Linda Gail (Rev. Bill) Burke of Cleveland, TN, Brenda J. (James) Fox of Rt 1 Fayetteville and Carolyn (Rick) Miller of Louisville, KY; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral HomeOak Hill, WV on Friday, December 9, 2005, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Services will be on Saturday, December 10, 2005, at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. William Skeldon officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, Memorial and Honor, PO Box 2680, North Canton OH 44720 or the Alzheimer's Association.
