Frances Williams Johnston

Frances Evelyn Cox Williams Johnston, 76, of Oak Hill died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Plateau Medical Center following a short illness. Born June 22, 1936 in Hix, WV, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Elizabeth Bragg Cox. She was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Joe Williams, Sr. in 1995. she was also preceded in death by her daughter Kay Lanham, sn, Jerry Dean Williams, grandson Tommy Walton Mullins, Jr., great-grandson Tyler Curtiss Hubbard, sister, Mary Lee Smith and brother, Paul Cox. Survivors include two daughters, JoAnn Mullins of Mossy and Debra Hylton of Coal City, one son, Tommy Joe Williams, Jr. of Salem Gatewood Road, eleven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, sister, Ann Shifflet of Winchester, VA. Also surviving are her husband, Herman Johnston; his daughter Angela Miller; two sons, Brian Johnston and Michael Nowlin and 7 grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 , at 1:00 p.m. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Paul Basham officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 til 8 p.m. On Tuesday, September 25, 2012.
