Frances Prather Elder

Frances Prather Elder , 85, of Maple Fork Road, Mount Hope, WV died on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born August 22, 1926 at Sun, WV she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Stella Marie Warwick Prather. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Fred Thomas Elder preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Drema Kay Smith of Maple Fork, three sons, Bud Elder of Harvey, Wayne Elder and wife, Debra of Harvey and James T. Elder and wife, Holly of Clear Creek, one sister, Sue Westerman of Fort Myers, FL, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Pastor Danny Damron officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill. Friends may call from 12:30 P.M. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
