Frances Arthur Campbell

Frances Marie Campbell , 87, of Ruckersville, VA died on Monday, September 06, 2010 at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA from complications related to hip surgery. Born November 06, 1922 at Kilsyth, WV she was the daughter of the late Norman R. and Kathleen Boggess Arthur. A long time member of the Grace Gospel Church in Beaver she had for the last decade had been a member of the First Bible Baptist Church in Ruckersville. She was a graduate of Mount Hope High School. Mrs. Campbell was a retired bookkeeper for Orkin Exterminating Company. Her husband, Freddie Hall Campbell and a brother James Arthur preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Edna C. Thompson and husband Jeff of Ruckersville, VA and Joan C. Callahan and husband Ron of Stafford, VA, one sister, Ann Dearing and husband Frank of Prosperity and sister-in-law, Macil Campbell of Hilltop. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside rites and committal service will be on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill with Pastor Pat Haynes officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Expressions of sympathy should be made to the charity of your choice.
