Floyd "Mop" Warrick, Jr.

Floyd "Mop" Warrick Jr., 78, of Oak Hill, WV went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 14, 2005 at Hilltop Healthcare Center in Hilltop, WV. Born January 25, 1926 he was the son of the late Floyd Warrick, Sr. and Mary Edna May Warrick. He was a retired Supervisor for the US Postal Service. Mr. Warrick was an Oak Hill business having owned "Mops TV" and "Mops Hobby and Gift Shop"; was an officer of Warrick Electronics, Inc. and Mid State Communications South, Inc. Mop was a long time member of the Oak Hill Lions Club and the Oak Hill Camera Club. He served in the US Air Force for four years. He was preceded in death by his his wife, Betty Jo "Shirley" Chaffin Warrick and a brothers, James Wayne Warrick and William Howard Warrick. Survivors include sons, Dale Warrick and wife, Brenda, of Oak Hill, Pat Bailey and Michael Bailey of Oak Hill; daughters, Shirlene Burgess and husband, Jerry, of Oak Hill and Tina Weeks and husband, Steve, of Oak Hill; sister, Betty Jean Hickman of Oak Hill; brother, Andrew "Trap" Warrick and wife, Peggy, of Oak Hill; grandchildren, Michelle Lynn Warrick-Tanner of Beckley, Jennifer Ann Warrick-Collins of North Carolina, Megan Warrick, Seth Warrick, Caleb Floyd Weeks, Stephanie L. Johnson all of Oak Hill, Steven Allen Weeks and Linda Leeann Weeks both of Kentucky, Jennifer Lynn Janney and Jason Michael Janney of Oak Hill, Michelle Lynn Gilland of Beckley and Amanda Lynn Mills of Glen Daniels; and by 11 great grandchildren. Special considerations to his care givers Agnes and Cletus Ransom and Robert Dillon and special friends Betty Pack and Renea Anderson. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Sunday, January 16, 2005, from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. Services will be on Monday, January 17, 2005, at 1:00 pm at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Dorothy Osborne officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV with military graveside rites by VFW Post 3110.
