Floyd E. "Ed" Clay

March 12, 1920 — November 28, 2005

Floyd Edward "Ed" Clay, 85, of Page, WV went home to be with his Lord on Monday, November 28, 2005. Born March 12, 1920 at Page, WV he was the son of the late Howard and Lilly Mae Cobb Clay. He was a retired shuttle car operator. Mr. Clay was a member of the First Church of God, Kincaid, WV where he was Sunday school superintendent for many years and was a member of the UMWA. His first wife, Gladys Dolin Clay; four brothers, John, Truman, Grover and Dillon Clay and one sister, Belva Dolin preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Mae Tincher Clay; three sons, Floyd William (Kathy) Clay of Kincaid, WV, Ronald Lee Clay and Donald Edward Clay both of Page, WV; two daughters, Mary Lou (Sidney) Price of Ingram Branch, WV and Marlene Lynn (David) Rogers of Charlottesville, VA; three step-sons, Paul (Barbara) Cobb, Tommy (Cheryl) Cobb and Robbie (Mary Ellen) Cobb all of Page, WV; one step daughter, Kathy (Will) Thomas of Roanoke, VA; three grandsons, Aaron, John and Clinton Clay; one granddaughter, Kayla Clay and by seven step-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Thursday, December 1, 2005, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Services will be on Friday, December 2, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at First Church of God in Kincaid. with Rev. Gerald Grant and Rev. Eugene Morris officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
