Floyd Jasper Bowyer, 81,of Page passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
Born December 23, 1942 in Maple Fork, WV he was the son of the late Carl and Marie Burton Bryant.
Floyd was a proud United States Army Veteran, he retired from the coal mines after working for 25 plus years. In his leisure he enjoyed using his hands building things, making knives, and being a Pastor teaching others about the Gospel. His greatest joy in life was being surrounded by his family whom he loved deeply.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Brenda Joyce Bowyer; second wife Linda Faye Lanham Bowyer; son, Robert Ray Johnston; son-in-law, Howard Roy King; and brother, Carl Lee Burton.
Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his loving children, Lisa Gay King of Coke Oven, Michelle Lynn Cochran (Edmond Hopper Cochran) of Coke Oven, Martin Wayne Johnston (Angelique Johnston) of Robson, and a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Lynn Johnston of Page. ; grandchildren, Faye Ellen Mann (Shawn Mann) of Talcott, Anthony Scott Ramsey (Sarah Ramsey) of Ocala, FL., Lyndsay Katherine Raynes of Beckley, Joshua Floyd Cochran (Sarah Cochran) of Robson, Ryan Allen Cochran (Sarah Cochran) of Page, Merissa Chantel Messer (Jordon Scott Messer) of Kincaid, and Taylor Nicole Johnston of Robson; 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill.
Graveside service with burial to follow will be 12:15 PM on Friday, August 2, 2024 at High Lawn Memorial Park with the Wyoming County Veteran Honor Guard to perform Military Rites.
