Flora Woolwine Smith

Flora Marie Thorne Woolwine Smith , 86, of Mount Hope, WV died on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.

Born February 05, 1929 at Rock Lick, WV she was the daughter of the late George and Virginia Mills Thorne.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Smith attended the Price Hill Freewill Baptist Church.

A daughter, Joy Pruitt preceded her in death on November 9, 2014.

Survivors include sons, Lowe Woolwine and wife, Christina of Price Hill, Carl Woolwine of Price Hill, and James Woolwine of Price Hill; daughters, Margaret Woolwine of Sophia, Eugenia Fisher and husband, Ray of Kilsyth, Susan Wood and husband, David of Harvey and Rebecca Roark and husband, Ed of Price Hill; brothers, Raymond Thorne of Prudence; Johnny Thorne and wife, Clara of Scarbro, Tommy Thorne of Price Hill, Leonard Thorne of North Carolina and Jimmy Thorne of Winston, KY; and sisters, Frances Rice and husband, Frank of Mount Hope, Margaret Rice of Mount Hope and Lou Grubb of Ohio.

Also surviving eleven grandchildren including a special granddaughter, Lisa Vandall of Meadow Bridge and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Rev. Adam Trzicak officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

David Wood, Travis Woolwine, Ray Fisher, David Wood, Shane Woolwine and Chris Campbell will serve as pallbearers.
