Everett Junior Cook

Everett Junior Cook, 77, of Fayette County, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Bowers Hospice House following a short illness surrounded by his loving family. 

Born July 29, 1947, at Naoma, he was the son of the late Everett and Bertha (Fitzpatrick) Cook. 

Everett was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was the Owner of WV Coal Recovery, Chafe Mining Company, E.C. Mining Company, and Co-Owner of Peters/Cook Mining Company. In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing, four wheeling, and boating. 

When we pause to remember Everett, we will remember how kind he was to everyone and that he never met a stranger. 

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his two sisters, Nancy Holley and Mary Lee Douglas; and one brother, Timothy Cook. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Danette (Rodman) Cook; his daughter, Rachelle Cook; his son, Darren Cook; granddaughter, Ruiwen Cook; grandson, Nathaniel Cook; two sisters, Peggy Webb and Linda "Susie" Cook. 

A Celebration of Everett's Life will be 6:00 P.M., Friday, November 22, 2024 at the Amazing Grace Worship Center, 210 First Avenue, Midway, WV 25827.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Everett's nephew, Shawn Martin for being there in his final days and to John Wooten for always being by his side.
