Evelyn Marie (Hudson) Elliott, 90, of Oak Hill passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at home,
Born April 22, 1931 at Mount Tabor, WV she was the daughter of the late Robert and Esthal McGraw Hudson. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1948, and was a loyal and faithful member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church for more than 55 years. Evelyn was also a member of United Methodist Women and Rebecca Bible Sunday School Class.
Evelyn and Paul Elliott were married on March 4, 1950. Paul preceded her in death in 2014. During their 64-year marriage, they resided in Beaver, Blue Jay, Beckley, Rupert, and Oak Hill, WV.
Three brothers, James Hudson, Robert Hudson, Sr., and Charles Hudson and a sister, Lillian Hudson White preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Elliott of Daniels and Michael (Deedra) Elliott of Statesville, NC; daughter, Debra Alloway; sister, Virginia Lodmell of Frankfort, KY; and brother, Lawrence Hudson of Barnesville, GA.
She is also survived by six grandchildren, Heather Maxwell, Stephanie White, Jacob Elliott, Coleson Elliott, Jim Alloway, and Justin Alloway; and five great grandchildren, Callie Raines, Thomas Maxwell, Hailey Maxwell, Justin G. Alloway, and Cameron Alloway.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the Oak Hill United Methodist Church with Dr. Ken Krimmel officiating. Entombment to follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at the church.
