Evelyn F. Blackburn

Evelyn Florene Blackburn, of 114 Forestview Drive, Beckley, went to rest in heavenly peace with her late husband, Carl L. Blackburn, on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at the Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, following a long illness. Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Linda Blackburn, with whom she resided, of Beckley and Patricia Tucker and husband, Frank, of Mount Hope; five sons, Mark Blackburn of North Sand Branch Rd., Charles Blackburn and wife, Sharon, of Oak Hill, Dennis Blackburn and wife, Charlotte, of North Sand Branch Rd., Gary Blackburn and wife, Rita, of Oak Hill and Carl Lee Blackburn and wife, Elizabeth, of Charleston. Her fondest and greatest memories are of her grandchildren, Keith "Bodie" Tyler, Jr., Scott Tyler, Carla Markie Blackburn, Kimberly Tucker, Gregg Tucker, Carl Lee Blackburn III, Chastity Blackburn, Lindsay Blackburn, Dea Kristen Blackburn, Erik Stover, Alyssa Stover, Cindy Stover, Paul Stover, one beloved great granddaughter, Ashton Brook Tyler and one beloved great grandson, Cheyenne Blackburn. Special thanks to her caregiver, Sue Nuckols. The family wishes aslo to thank the wonderful staff of 2 North at Raleigh General Hospital and Dr. Syed Rasheed her physician of 20 years. There be no visitation or services. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill.
