Ethel Tennant

Ethel Genava Rodes Tennant, 90, of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, May 12, 2005 at Hilltop Healthcare Center in Hilltop, WV. Born January 28, 1915 at Lochgelly, WV she was the daughter of the late Venna Lee "Pop" and Ada Mae Plumley Rodes. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Tennant was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church, Oak Hill and attended the Shirley Donnelly Bible Class. She was preceded in death by one son, Larry Allen Tennant and a daughter, Betty Jean Bishop. Survivors include husband, Oscar Phelix Tennant; son, John Tennant of Hayward, CA; brothers, Jimmy Rodes and Jack Lee Rodes both of Cleveland, OH; sisters, Juanita Thomas of Cleveland, OH and Mary Ann Vanklunann of Monticello, Fl; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Saturday, May 14, 2005, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Services will be on Saturday, May 14, 2005, at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Bill Menefee officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV.
