Ethel Bell “Beulah” Phillips, age 83, of Kincaid, WV died on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born March 6, 1927 at Kincaid, WV she was the daughter of the late Thomas Edward Kincaid and Nora Pennington Kincaid Rinehart. She was a sales clerk/cashier having worked at the Midget Market, IGA on Jones Avenue in Oak Hill and at Butch's IGA. She was a graduate of South Charleston High School Class of 1945 and a member of the Kincaid United Methodist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Howard Phillips on February 16, 2010; by sisters, Hattie Gent, Patsy O'Daniel Boyd, Dicksie Hunt, Nathalie Harler and Jessie Smith; by her brothers, Richard Ingram and Lacy and Ernest Kincaid. Surviving are her three daughters, Judith Casto of Poca, Shari Vest of Salem, VA and Tammy Phillips of Roanoke, VA; two sons,Gregory Phillips of Douglasville, GA and Steward Phillips of Marietta, GA; two grandchildren, William Leon Franklin, Jr. of Hinton and Christopher Phillips of Greer, SC and great grandchildren, Joshua, Eli and Gabriel Franklin and Alexander Phillips. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with Rev. William Slates officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park.
