Estel Wayne Smith

Estel Wayne Smith. 84, of Dothan passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley.

Born May 20, 1940 in Dothan, WV he was the son of the late Frank and Della (Smith) Smith.

Estel was a graduate from Kingston High School , he retired as a mechanic from General Motors in Ohio, and in his leisure he enjoyed being a mechanic working on everyone in the community lawn mowers, going to see classic cars, and he was a devoted Christian as he knew the Lord. He especially loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great granddaughter whom he loved.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by son, Eric Smith; sisters, Gracie, Ruby, Debbie, Gladys, and Gertrude; and brothers, Earl and Floyd.

Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his 2 sons, Randy Smith (Darla) and Richard Smith; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; long time friend and companion Brenda Kirby; former wife and mother of his children Nancy Smith; brother, Larry Smith; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In keeping with Mr. Estel Smith wishes he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
