Estel Julie Pennington Adkins, age 42, of Hilltop, WV passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill.
Born September 4, 1966 in Oak Hill, WV she was the daughter of the late Willis Eugene and Lottie Ann Elsie Evans Smith.
Estel was a disabled CNA having last worked at Hidden Valley Health Center. She attended the Boley Street Church at Summerlee.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Wayne Pennington and by two infant sons, Michael Eugene and Basil Wayne Pennington.
Surviving are her husband, LeeRoy Adkins of Hilltop; her children, Joey Dwayne Pennington of Hilltop, Elizabeth Ann Pennington of Oak Hill, Ester Michelle Kelly and husband Dennis Dale, of Hilltop, Gary Robert Criss and Rebecca Adkins of Hilltop; two Grandchildren, Michael Dwayne Pennington and Matthew Dennis Kelly; three brothers, Ben Olds of Oak Hill, Willis Lee Smith of Virginia and John Hardy Smith of Hilltop; one sister, Christine Schoolcraft of Scarbro; favorite nephew, David Ruff, Jr. and additional nephews, Justin Dale Garrison and Jayden Dakota Ruff and her father and mother-in-law, Roy Lee and Shirley Adkins of Harvey.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2009 from the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with Rev. Danny Dameron officiating. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Pea Ridge Road, Oak Hill, WV.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, 2009.
Pallbearers will be Billy Hinkle, Dale Kelly, Jr., Dale Kelly, Sr., Ricky Todd, Bill Ray Evans and David Dixon.
