Ernest W. "Bill" Goad

Ernest William “Bill” Goad , 67, of Mount Hope, WV died on Thursday, May 06, 2010 at Veterans Administration Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born January 17, 1943 at Radford, VA he was the son of the late Robert W. and Helen Owens Goad. He was a truck driver for WLA Trucking, Inc. Mr. Goad was a member of the Bradley Church of God and was a US Army veteran. A brother, Robert Goad preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue Williams Goad; one son, Timmy Hurst of Hiwassee, VA; five daughters, Sonya Jones and husband, Steve of Pulaski, VA, Vanessa Goad and husband, Todd of Riner, VA, Cathy Williams of Prosperity, Kimberly Baldwin and husband, Lloyd of Prosperity and Kimberly Goad of Hiwassee, VA; two sisters, Janet Shelburne of Viro Beach, FL and Ginger Bond of Cameron, FL; thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the Bradley church of God with Rev. Brian White officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery at Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to services on Sunday at the church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
