Erma L. Neely

Surrounded by her family, Erma Lee Jones Neely, 94, of Oak Hill, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2008, at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill. Born April 18, 1914, at Lookout, she was the daughter of the late Ulysses S. and Ethel Ingles Jones. Erma was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. Her husband, Robert Dewey Neely, preceded her in death on May 12, 1978. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mabel Woods; three brothers, Ed Jones, Lewis Jones and Renick Jones; and three grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters, Ethel Neely of Oak Hill, Debbie Withrow and husband, John, of Oak Hill and Kay Kodak and husband, Don, of Baltimore, Md.; and three sons, Harold Neely and wife, Donnie, of Merritt Island, Fla., William Neely and wife, Carol, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Ron Neely and wife, Sharon, of Fayetteville. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Delmas Wolfe officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call two hours before service Saturday at the funeral home. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
