Erma Jean Evans

Erma Jean Johnson Evans, 79, of Oak Hill, WV died on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born August 29, 1930 at Prudence, WV she was the daughter of the late Glen N. and Edna May Dalton Johnson. Mrs. Evans was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Fayette Heights and A.A.R.P. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her grandson, James C. Brimhall and sister, Elaine Profitt. Survivors include husband, James O. Evans, Jr.; two daughters, Cathy Buckland and husband, Roger of Oak Hill and Donna Head and husband, Jerry of Barbourville, KY; three brothers, Darrell Johnson of Oak Hill, Elmer Johnson of Cleveland, OH and Roy Lee Johnson of Cleveland, OH; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services will be on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastor Justin Seay officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
