Ercil J. Ayers

Ercil Johnson Ayers, 75, of Huntington, WV formerly of Harvey, WV died on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at the VA Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Born November 11, 1930 at Harvey, WV he was the son of the late Ermal C. and Willia Alethia Johnson Ayers. He was a retired painter. Mr. Ayers was of the Christian faith and a member of the Painter's Local Union #970. He was a US Army and Air Force veteran. Survivors include three brothers, Thomas E. Ayers of Oak Hill, George A. Ayers of Beckley and Fredrick Ayers of Myrtle Beach, SC; three sisters, Janice Dempsey of Boardman, OH, Pat Yoney of Parma, OH and Erma L. Caten of Mandeville, LA and several nieces and nephews including his loving caregiver and nephew, Barry Ayers of Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, May 19, 2006, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Services will be on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Gerald Kincaid officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV with military graveside rites by VFW Post #3110, Oak Hill, WV.
