Enoch C. Wriston

Enoch Clayton Wriston, 81, of Mossy, WV died on Sunday, January 16, 2005 at The Summit at Hidden Valley in Oak Hill, WV following a long illness. Born March 27, 1923 at Mossy, WV he was the son of the late Grant U. and Ada M. Daniels Wriston. He was a retired coal mine shuttle car operator. Mr. Wriston attended the Advent Christian Church and was a US Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Goldie M. Blake Wriston; a son, Allen Wriston and a daughter, Ada Wriston. Survivors include sons, Charlie Wriston and wife, Vicki, of Mossy, WV and Randy Wriston and wife, Debbie, of Oak Hill, WV; daughters, Wanda Miller and husband, Larry, of Columbus, OH, Dorothy Robertson and husband, Dave, of Oak Hill, WV and Tara Scarbro and husband, Freddie, of Oak Hill, WV; daughter-in-law, Faye Wriston of Georgia; brother, Glen Wriston and wife, Arbutus of Mossy, WV and by 11 grandchldren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 17, 2005 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Services will be on Wednesday, January 19, 2005, at 1:00 pm at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, WV with Rev. Bill Menefee officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV with military graveside rites by VFW Post #3110, Oak Hill, WV.
