Emory E. Willis

Emory E. Willis, 78, of Kilsyth, WV died on Wednesday, June 01, 2005 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV following a short illness. Born March 01, 1927 at Mount Hope, WV he was the son of the late Robert and Martha Elkins Willis. He was a retired fire boss for Imperial Colliery, Milburn, WV. Mr. Willis was a member of the UMWA District 17, Local 6013. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Augusta Rinehart Willis on Feb 7, 1983 and by eleven brothers and sisters. Survivors include three sons, David Willis of Beckley, Robert Willis of Daniels and Carmon Willis of Sand Branch; one daughter, Brenda Joyce Gilland of Kincand; one sister, Madge Lea Evans of Pea Ridge; twelve grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren Visitation will be held at the House of Prayer, Scrabble Creek, Gauley Bridge, WV on Saturday, June 4, 2005 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Services will be on Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at the House of Prayer at Scrabble Creek, Gauley Bridge, WV. with Rev. David Willis and Rev. James "Buzzy" Wittington officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill WV.
